HOW TO HAVE A SOCIAL MEDIA HOBBY

Hello, hello! Welcome back to my blog!

Recently I've noticed that my analytics for my social media platforms have taken a huge increase - all because of you guys! (No, seriously, thank you! That's awesome!) And I thought I would share some tips on how you can start a social media platform, and turn it into a hobby!

So, if you're unfamiliar with social media altogether, don't worry! I'm no master, but I have been a YouTuber for nine years, I can help you.

First, you need to decide on what social media platform you want to start one. It can be Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, podcast, a blog - or all of the above. It's all up to you!

I actually have platforms on YouTube, blog, podcast, and Pinterest! It's been really fun, but it all depends on your personality. I love to design things, it's so fun to me. If you don't, then you might need to find something that works for you. Each platform is different, but it can still help your business grow either way.

Pinterest is great for advertising. However, it's also great for designing! I love to make fandom icons, and Pinterest has allowed me to do that while getting an insane amount of views! People love that stuff!

You need to decide on your niche. This is very important for the growth of your social media account. I have YouTube channels - one is mainly based on personal videos, such as vlogs. It is a lot more work for sure, because filming and editing can take time. My second channel is for editing movies or shows. That's a lot of fun, but is very time consuming.

You need to be organized! Sure, you don't need a strict schedule. A planner will do nicely, though. If you're not posting frequently, people will get disinterested and leave. Take it form someone who's been on YouTube for years - I've been off and on, and have noticed the consequences.
