The only reason you can leave is if you're in the fandom already. (You have good taste, by the way). But I would love it if you stayed anyway!
Okay. I don't even want to tell you all how much I hear about the Star Wars fandom. More bad than good, if I'm going to be honest with you. Which is not okay! This fandom does NOT deserve to be dissed this much.
Of course, there's hate with any fandom. I'm not denying that - my own cousin makes fun of Marvel sometimes. I know, shocker.
I have heard many things about Star Wars, like "Ohhh, you're a nerddd." (I don't care, that's a compliment lol). Or "Star Wars sucks, it's so lame."
Um, no. You're lame. :)
Okay, I'm going to get straight to the point now. Star Wars is an amazing fandom to be in (I think it was my first fandom I ever joined, actually!) And I don't want to hear any more slander about it. If you're hesitant, keep reading. I will give you many reasons why you should join the fandom right NOW!
THE WORLDBUILDING
The world-building in this fandom is unlike anything I've ever seen. George Lucas was so creative with this whole franchise, and the possibilities are endless. One significant thing about this is the amount of theories you can come up with! I am not even kidding, there is no end to the craziness you can conjure.
THERE IS NO END TO THE SPIN-OFFS
This fandom is HUGE! You will NEVER be disappointed. Of course, we can't forget the OG movies (prequels and all). Those alone are judged by a lot by people too, and YES, I know they're cheesy. But they're iconic. And you can't go wrong with Empire Strikes Back - that movie is amazing.
And the TV shows! Clone Wars alone makes me happy. Ahsoka (my favorite Star Wars character) is someone you DON'T want to miss!! Star Wars: Rebels and Clone Wars are fantastic shows that really go into depth about the Star Wars universe and I HIGHLY recommend them. Oh, and the Mandalorian, of course. We can't forget Grogu. And don't be intimidated by all of this; it seems like a lot, but I promise it's not. It's so much fun to watch and don't worry, new shows are being produced. Ahsoka and obi-Wan get their own series, and about a dozen others. Oh, and there are the sequels, I suppose. Those aren't that great in my opinion, but see for yourself!
IT GIVES YOU A CHANCE TO "GEEK" OUT
Star Wars is a fandom that allows you to really become a nerd. It's so big, there's really no limit! It's so rewarding to really just talk to someone about the whole thing, and I can't help but smile when I hear someone talking about it.
